L'immeuble Copan, d'Oscar Niemeyer à São Paulo, a été commencé en 1952 et terminé seulement en 1961. Construit pour être un complexe touristique, c'est aujourd'hui le plus grand immeuble du Brésil, avec 1 160 appartements, divisés en six blocs, 115 000 m2 , 5 000 habitants, 20 ascenseurs, une consommation d'un million de litres d'eau par jour et même un code postal exclusif pour le bâtiment, cas unique dans le pays.
