Une des locomotives de la ligne de chemin de fer Madeira - Mamoré, construite en échange de l'annexion de l'Acre par le Brésil, en 1903, pour exporter le caoutchouc bolivien en contournant les chutes du Madeira. Terminée à la veille de la chute des cours du caoutchouc, elle n'a jamais vraiment servi et ces 400 km de voie ferrée en pleine Amazonie paraissent d'autant plus étranges.
