Tortue Luth "Dermochelys coriacea" venant pondre dans le sable d'une plage de Guyane. Chaque ponte suit un protocole précis, débutant par la sortie de l'eau et la montée vers le haut de la plage, à l'abri des marées. La tortue balaye alors l'emplacement choisi avec ses pattes, avant de creuser un nid, simple puits de 80 cm de profondeur en forme de patte d'éléphant, à l'aide de ses pattes arrières.
