Orthogneiss (granodiorite déformée ductilement) caractérisé par une foliation (ici surface de la photo) portant une linéation minérale et d'étirement. Les minéraux magmatiques du granite (quartz, feldspaths et amphiboles) sont étirés. D'autres minéraux (grenat, micas, jadéite) se forment pendant le métamorphisme de très haute pression contemporain de la déformation. Ils cristallisent en s'orientant dans la linéation. Région de Sulu, Province de Shandong, Chine.
