Substrat de silicium (barrette grise) collé sur une embase en cuivre, sur lequel sont intégrés des microdisques de phosphure de gallium. Une telle barrette contient plus de 600 microdisques ou microrésonateurs. Le diamètre de chacun d'eux est dix fois plus fin que celui d'un cheveu. Ces microdisques sont utilisés dans une expérience de génération de seconde harmonique (GSH).
