The P' Institute is a research laboratory in the fields of Physical Sciences and Engineering Sciences. Its activities cover a broad spectrum of complementary themes and skills ranging from the physics of materials to the mechanics of fluids and materials, to mechanical engineering and energy. The main fields of application are transport and energy, with particular attention to environmental aspects.

At the "Physique et ingénierie en matériaux" Institute, scientists are using a robot to study the propulsive and resistive mechanisms of swimming, and are testing the impact of wearing a wetsuit on the movements and forces generated by crawling.

The RoBioSS team (robotique, biomécanique, sport et santé) at the Pprime Institut, presents two robotic hands, the humanoid robot ORHRO and Delthaptic, a mechatronic system.

Capturing movement and physical effort related to rowing

This report was made during an experiment in the interpretation of the piano gesture, at the Théâtre Auditorium de Poitiers (TAP) on a "Steinway & Sons" piano.
