Expérience d'interprétation du geste pianistique
This report was made during an experiment in the interpretation of the piano gesture, at the Théâtre Auditorium de Poitiers (TAP) on a "Steinway & Sons" piano.
Pianists take turns playing several works. The sounds are captured in two ways, the first aiming to respect human listening (binaural recording) and the other using professional sound recording equipment. The three-dimensional movements of the pianists' upper limbs and fingers are recorded by a "motion capture" system, using reflectors positioned on the skin and on the piano and 16 high-frequency cameras.
