EROS, playing hide and seek with matter
Most of the universe is unknown to us; one possible hypothesis is that there are stars which do not shine and thus cannot be detected by telescope. The goal of the experimental program EROS is to demonstrate via methods of indirect observation that these stars, known as brown dwarfs, do exist.
