The Virtue of the Tower Blocks
Unlike other big cities, Marseille has settled tower blocks on its own territory. This way, the inhabitants of the “Northern Neighborhoods” feel they belong to the city as much as the other inhabitants, from the old port or downtown.
Michel Péraldi, a CNRS sociologist analyses this situation whereas young people talk about their way of life.
