Jean Chaline, a palaeontologist from the Université de Bourgogne, runs two laboratories in which he works on evolution and prehistory. He answers to the questions of the journalist Olivier Danrey. In the first time, he describes the job of palaeontologist and in the second time he talks about the origin of man.
