Chercheur / Entrepreneur, le ticket gagnant
Series title
Deeptech, au coeur des innovations de ruptureThe second episode looks at the importance of the team and the allocation of roles in deep tech start-ups, where the technology/research and business aspects are closely linked. Finding a good product position and providing business development experience allows researchers to focus on their scientific expertise. How is the collaboration established between a researcher, a manager and/or a business developer? How do these separate areas come together to benefit the project?
For Claude Grison, scientific director of the start-up BioInspir, it was even more important to find someone who shared her values and who was interdisciplinary as her innovation provided an ecological solution. This collaboration allows her to concentrate on marketing and searching for their first partners and clients.
Raphaël Rodriguez is director of research at the CNRS. He co-founded the company SideROS, which aims to eradicate persistent cancer cells of a specific type of tumour by attacking them with an anti-cancer molecule. The necessary expertise in biotech entrepreneurship that the researcher lacked was provided by Lucie Mondoulet, who is responsible for corporate strategy as CEO of SideROS.
