Playing for atoms

In Hamburg, the particle accelerator HERA is located under the city's soccer stadium. At each end of the accelerator two teams of 400 researchers face each other around the H1 and ZEUS detectors. The object of their rivalry is to unlock the secrets of the basic constituents of the atom and in particular to study proton structure.
