On the occasion of his presence at the Nancy World Theatre Festival, the Italian actor and theatrical troup director, Dario Fo, talks about comedy, the social and cultural function of clowns and their dialogue with the audience.
These remarks are illustrated by excerpts from his show and from performances at Nancy given by theatrical troups inspired by his work, particularly the Macloma clowns.
