Téramobile, the guided lightning
The French-German project Téramobile permitted to build a unique mobile high-voltage laser. The produced energy is concentrated during a very brief moment, and the power of this laser is exceptionally huge: 5 terawatts.
In June 2001, at the Institute for Experimental Physics located in Berlin, Jean-Pierre Wolf, a CNRS researcher, tested an application of this laser: the lighting guidance.
