Afghanistan
After 47 years' absence, geographer Claude Collin Delavaud returns to Afghanistan. He travels across the country with two researchers, one Afghan and one French, taking the northern route, retracing the path he took during his research trip here in 1956.
During this return trip, he observes, analyzes, and compares the past and present of the valleys of the Hindu Kush and the oases of Turkestan, which today bear the marks of every passing year, especially the 23 years of war.
