Radar allemand du type Würzburg de la station de radioastronomie de Nançay. En arrière-plan, des antennes paraboliques du radiohéliographe et les deux réflecteurs du grand radiotélescope. Utilisé dès 1946 en région parisienne puis à Nançay, le radar Würzburg est un instrument pionnier de 7,5 m de diamètre qui a ouvert la voie à de nouveaux interféromètres et autres types de radiotélescopes. Désormais inutilisé, il fait partie d'un ensemble de trois radars identiques : le second se trouve au Musée radar de Douvres-la-Délivrande, et le troisième au Laboratoire d'Astrophysique de Bordeaux.
