Marquage de récepteurs activés par le glutamate, dans des neurones d'hippocampe de rat
Marking of a neurotransmitter receptor and a cell overexpressing a receptor labelled with a green jellyfish protein, observed using full-field fluorescence imaging. These AMPA-type receptors, activated by glutamate, are observed in cultures of rat hippocampus neurons. Sub-units of these receptors are marked in green (sub-unit GluA1) and red (GluA2). A single neuron expresses GluA1 (in green) while all of the neurons in the culture express GluA2 (in red). The co-expression of GluA1 and GluA2 in a single synapsis produces a yellow marking.
