Mont d'Or seen from the base of the cliff, in the Doubs department, in Bourgogne-Franche-Comté. This summit in the Jura massif represents an element of the Jura Arc Ecological Research project (ZAAJ). This project federates a research network set up to study how the environment interacts with human society and the dynamics of socio-ecological systems across the Jura arc. The project is especially focused on the impact of past and present developments as regards climate and the landscape on populations and communities, and examines links between environment, ecology and health.

Our work is guided by the way scientists question the world around them and we translate their research into images to help people to understand the world better and to awaken their curiosity and wonderment.
