Marie-Hélène Perrard, chargée de recherche CNRS et co-fondatrice de Kallistem, tenant une boite de Pétri contenant un bioréacteur utilisant du chitosane. ce bioréacteur a été conçu grâce une collaboration entre la start-up Kallistem et l'Ingenierie des matériaux polymères (IMP). Il est utilisé dans le cadre de travaux sur la spermatogénèse : il assure un confinement parfait des tubes séminifères, propice à une spermatogénèse intégrale. Il a permis l'obtention pour la première fois de spermatozoïdes humains complets in vitro.
