Au centre, le Chomo Lhari (7 090 m), un sommet situé à la frontière entre la Chine et le Bhoutan, vu pendant un vol Delhi-Dibrugarh, le long de la chaîne de l'Himalaya, par temps clair. A gauche, on aperçoit le lac Dogen Co, au Tibet. Le Chomo Lhari marque la terminaison sud du rift de Yadong-Gulu. Ce rift est l'un des sept rifts de failles normales nord-sud marquant le sud du Tibet. En arrière-plan, le sud du plateau tibétain est constitué des sédiments téthysiens de couleur marron-rougeâtre.
