Croissance cristalline de monocristaux laser, scintillateur et piezo-électrique, dans un four Czochralski. On distingue les facettes à l'interface solide / liquide. La tige permet de tirer la matière en fusion qui en se refroidissant lentement permet d'obtenir un monocristal. Les monocristaux ainsi fabriqués sont utilisés comme matériaux laser ou scintillateurs par exemple.
