Naissance d'un poussin de manchot Adélie, "Pygoscelis adeliae", à Cap Prudhomme, en Antarctique. En 2014, la quasi-totalité de ces poussins n'ont pas survécu aux conditions météorologiques (pluie) et au manque de nourriture. En effet, la banquise n'ayant pas débâclé pendant l'été, les manchots ont dû parcourir une trop grande distance pour ramener de la nourriture à leurs poussins.
