Le port de Valparaiso (Chili). Après son époque dorée du XIXe siècle, (quand d'innombrables navires européens venaient au Chili, via le Cap Horn, chercher du salpêtre), le port a connu une longue stagnation. Il en sort aujourd'hui, grâce au développement du commerce mondial lié à la multiplication des navires porte-conteneurs.
