Place centrale de Cuzco. Cuzco fut la capitale de l'empire inca (Tawantinsuyu), son nom (du quechua "qusqu") signifie "nombril du monde", et cette place en est le centre : la cathédrale et l'église des Jésuites reprennent l'emplacement (et une partie des pierres) de temples incas pré-existants.
