Il fait 70 microns et a été pêché à 30 m de profondeur dans la mer Ligure entre Nice et Calvi en septembre 2004 pendant le projet PECHE : Production and Exportation of Carbon : control by HEterotrophic organisms at small time scales (Dynaproc2).
