Hexapode : plateforme commandée permettant d'imprimer un mouvement selon six degrés de liberté à un objet. Utilisé principalement pour étudier les problèmes de sloshing (mouvement résonnant d'un liquide dans un réservoir) dans les cuves de navires. Le mouvement désiré est obtenu par le pilotage des six vérins hydrauliques que l'on voit sur la photo. L'objet est fixé sur la plateforme.
