La microcalorimétrie différentielle couplée à la diffraction des rayons X utilisant le rayonnement synchrotron permet sur un même échantillon de très petit volume (25µl) la caractérisation simultanée des propriétés thermiques et structurales des matériaux dans la gamme de température comprise entre -30et +220°. Le microcalorimètre dont on voit ici un prototype de la tête de mesure a été dévelpoppé au laboratoire.
