Différentes étapes de l'interaction symbiotique de la luzerne "Medicago sativa" et de la bactérie "Rhizobium meliloti". Symbiose fixatrice d'azote: étape d'infection et d'initiation du primordium nodulaire originel. Corrélation entre infection, en bleu, et initiation d'un primordium originel par division des cellules du cortex racinaire interne situées en regard de l'infection. La plante entière a été éclaircie avant d'être observée par microscopie à fond clair.
