Appareil ayant servi aux essais sur le phosgène, photographié le 24 avril 1929. Office national des recherches scientifiques et industrielles et des inventions (ONRSII). Ce gaz incolore, suffocant et très toxique, est obtenu par la combinaison du chlore et de l'oxyde de carbone. Sa formule est COCl2. Il fut utilisé lors de la Première Guerre mondiale comme gaz de combat, tuant près de 100 000 hommes.
