Jerôme Chevalier, a 44-year old academic and researcher, has been directing the material science and engineering laboratory (Matériaux: ingénierie et science) since 2014. He is an internationally renowned specialist in the design of innovative ceramics, and bioceramics. He conceived major improvements that increase the useful life of orthopaedic and orthodontic products and devices in ceramics. He also designed new compounds used in surgery for the replacement of bone tissues and as substrates for tissue regeneration.
