Boîtes de Pétri contenant des vers "Caenorhabditis elegans" et le milieu servant à leur croissance. Le nématode "C.elegans" vit dans le sol, dans la nature. Au laboratoire, il se nourrit des bactéries "Escherichia coli". Ces boîtes contiennent donc des nématodes (invisibles) et leur nourriture "E.coli". L'objectif de la recherche est la découverte de nouveaux gènes capables de moduler la vitesse du vieillissement et la compréhension de leurs mécanismes d'action.
