Iceberg au droit du glacier de l'Astrolabe, en Antarctique. Ce type d'iceberg est largué par le glacier. Lors de la rotation retour de l'Astrolabe, le navire polaire de l'Institut polaire (IPEV), les chercheurs sont restés bloqués dans les glaces pendant trois jours en janvier 2015. En effet, la banquise n'avait pas totalement débâclé pendant l'été.
