Launching ceremony of the aquarium barge. Decorative Arts Exhibition 1925
Fitted out by the ONRSI workshops, the aquarium barge was towed to Paris on July 17, 1925 and moored at the Quai d'Orsay, between the Concorde Bridge and the Alexandre III Bridge. Presented during the decorative arts exhibition, the barge was launched on 22 July in the presence of the Minister of Agriculture, Jean Durand, with Jules-Louis Breton and Mr Loucheur, respectively director and president of the ONRSI, standing by. Visitors entered and left the barge, then passed under the vault of the luminous Vedovelli fountains before leaving by car.
