Fire extinguishing tests at the Alhambra
On May 20, 1931, functional tests of the "grand secours", a fire protection equipment, take place at the Alhambra Theatre while in reconstruction. The device consists of a centrifugal pump from which six horizontal tubes fastened to the roof's steel structure extend, each being fitted with a watering head at its end. Once the tests are over, the firemen clean up the stage.
