Summary

This film was produced in the memory of Bernard Lyot, an astronomer, member of the French Academy of Sciences, who invented the coronograph.
Paul Couderc, another astronomer who works at the Paris Observatory, comments the images made by Bernard Lyot since 1935. Thanks to the coronagraph, he observed the solar corona, prominences and gas columns on its surface.
