Magic 2021 campaign
The objective of the Magic 2021 mission is to find out the distribution of greenhouse gases beyond the Arctic Circle, where global warming is twice as fast as elsewhere.
It is based on instruments deployed on board three aircraft, some twenty balloons and ground stations. The result of an international project involving the CNRS, the Centre national d'études spatiales (CNES), King's College London, Nasa and the European Space Agency (ESA), Magic 2021 brings together 17 teams from 7 countries. It is led by Cyril Crevoisier, director of research at CNRS.

CNRS Images,
Our work is guided by the way scientists question the world around them and we translate their research into images to help people to understand the world better and to awaken their curiosity and wonderment.
