Barres de Hopkinson, un dispositif permettant de soumettre un alliage à mémoire de forme à une compression sous impact. Il subit une déformation rapide de 4% en 0,6 milliseconde. Cet essai permet aux chercheurs d’étudier les changements de microstructure sous chargement multiaxial rapide. Une des applications concerne les fraises de dentiste.
