Visualisation d'un échantillon bientôt transféré dans un évaporateur sous vide

Cyrile Deranlot views a sample about to be transferred into a vacuum evaporator. This equipment, coupled to a cathode sputtering machine, is used to produce magnetic nanostructures for spintronics. In particular, it was used for development of the gold and tungsten alloy resulting from research undertaken by the CNRS/Thales Unité Mixte de Physique. This innovative alloy is now exploited by the DAUMET start-up, which has christened it SpinD Gold. Its innovative (colour, lustre, density, cost) and environmental qualities are of interest to operators in the watchmaking/jewellery trade.
