Manipulateur d’une enceinte de traitement thermique

Handling device for a heat treatment enclosure coupled to a cathode sputtering machine and a vacuum evaporator. This system is used to deposit magnetic nanostructures for spintronics. In particular, it was used for development of the gold and tungsten alloy resulting from research undertaken by the CNRS/Thales Unité Mixte de Physique. This innovative alloy is now exploited by the DAUMET start-up, which has christened it SpinD Gold. Its innovative (colour, lustre, density, cost) and environmental qualities are of interest to operators in the watchmaking/jewellery trade.

CNRS Images,

Our work is guided by the way scientists question the world around them and we translate their research into images to help people to understand the world better and to awaken their curiosity and wonderment.
