Instrument SPHERE - IRDIS
Alignement des optiques de l'instrument SPHERE (Spectro polarimetric high contrast for exoplanet research) - IRDIS (Infrared dual imager and spectrograph). Avant d'installer les optiques d'IRDIS dans le cryostat, les supports mécaniques de toutes les optiques sont d'abord réglés pour assurer l'alignement parfait sur l'axe optique. IRDIS est l'instrument principal de SPHERE. L'instrument SPHERE est installé au foyer Nasmyth d'un des télescopes de 8 m du VLT (Very large telescope) à l'observatoire de Paranal de l'ESO (European southern observatory) au Chili. Il permet la détection et l'étude, par imagerie et spectroscopie directe, des planètes autour d'étoiles dans notre galaxie.
