Radiolaires, avec à droite "Aulacantha scolymantha", dont les spicules siliceux irradient à partir d'une capsule centrale et à gauche, le plus gros des radiolaires mesurant environ 1 mm. Ces radiolaires ont été collectés à l'Observatoire océanologique de Villefranche-sur-Mer.
