Cette image est certainement la première photo de la voie lactée jamais prise en hiver depuis le Dôme C par une température de -70°. On aperçoit les nuages de Magellan sur la droite et la structure de la plate-forme Concordiastro, rendue floue par le temps de pose de la photo qui suivait la rotation du ciel, sur la gauche.
