Féral, professeur à l’école des Arts et Métiers, et photographié par l'Office national des recherches scientifiques et industrielles et des inventions (ONRSII), le 16 novembre 1923. Il a été conçu pour calculer les temps d'usinage, les vitesses de coupe et le nombre de tours qu'il est avantageux de donner à une machine-outil.
