Experience of two model hurricane merging. Second phase : experimental generation of two hurricanes. Laser allows to visualize the flows in 2d and 3D. The engineers use a stick to plunge a string covered with fluorescein - coloring agent which allows to trace its evolution on the surface (2D) and below (3D) - in the tank. The hurricane vortex is generated by the gradual opening of two flaps. Researchers study the impact of the Coriolis force effects - a geophysical force generated by the earth rotation - on atmospheric turbulences with the world's unique rotating platform (14 m in diameter, 1,2 m high, weighing 150/300 tons, 0 to 3 revs/min.).

Our work is guided by the way scientists question the world around them and we translate their research into images to help people to understand the world better and to awaken their curiosity and wonderment.
