Réparation de cassures d'ADN de cellules cancéreuses HeLa
Co-marking an apoptosis-inducing factor (AIF) that induces apoptosis in cells in mitochondria (shown in red), observed using fluorescence microscopy. The DNA (shown in blue) contains breaks, which are visible due to the enzyme that attaches to them: poly(ADP-ribose) (marked in green). This enzyme temporarily modifies proteins that play a role in repairing damage to DNA. This microscopic image was produced as part of research into a new form of cell death, mitotic catastrophe, which may be caused by a defect in the cell cycle sequence or by a DNA alteration.
