Contrôle de la croissance cristalline de monocristaux laser, scintillateur et piezo-électrique, en cours à l'intérieur d'un four Czochralski. Une tige permet de tirer la matière en fusion qui en se refroidissant lentement permet d'obtenir un monocristal. Les monocristaux ainsi fabriqués sont utilisés comme matériaux laser ou scintillateurs par exemple.
