Co-détection de récepteurs inhibiteurs dans un neurone de moelle épinière de rat
Co-detection of the GABAB (red) and Galanin 1 (green) receptors in a rat spinal cord neuron. These two receptors have an inhibitory role: they enable reduction in the transmission of pain information. Research scientists are attempting to view the existence of these receptors in the same cells and the same subcellular compartments. Such co-existence is a prerequisite for interaction between these receptors. This image attests to the possibility of such interaction, which scientists are seeking to reproduce.
