Maillage triangulaire non-structuré autour du port Nawiliwili à Hawaï. Le maillage est adapté en fonction de la bathymétrie afin de tenir compte du raccourcissement de la longueur d'onde lorsque la profondeur diminue. La bathymétrie mesure les profondeurs des océans pour déterminer la topographie de leur sol. Cela permet de concevoir des modèles numériques plus efficaces pour comprendre et anticiper les phénomènes hydrodynamiques.
