Œufs de seiche récoltés dans les herbiers de la Station biologique de Roscoff, en mai 2012. Les seiches pondent leurs œufs en grappes en les fixant à un support (algue, bois, filet…). Les seiches n'ayant pas de stade larvaire, les œufs contiennent des seiches miniatures. La seiche est utilisée comme modèle biologique pour l'étude du développement embryonnaire et du système nerveux central.
