La galaxie Andromède (M31) vue dans la lumière visible et dans le domaine millimétrique (image millimétrique faite au télescope de 30 mètres de l'IRAM situé au Pico Veleta, près de Grenade en Espagne) qui montre l'émission du monoxyde de carbone qui trace le gaz moléculaire dense dans lequel se forment les étoiles.
